Wired USB Keyboards

The old-fashioned wired keyboard avoids all modern wireless tradeoffs entirely for guaranteed performance. Immunity from battery, lag, interference and exploit issues justify cords for productivity-focused desktop use. Wired keyboards typed over 100-million keystrokes over years of abuse.

Projection Keyboards

Projection keyboards shine full tactile layouts onto surfaces using tiny laser emitters. Sophisticated software translates precise finger taps on projected key zones into real key inputs on wirelessly connected devices.

Latency challenges Bluetooth with direct precise finger tracking. Battery life also commonly lasts multiple days per charge. While expensive, no compromise exists otherwise between mobile full-size keyboards with satisfying key travel feedback. Projection keyboards deliver the best of all worlds.

Before purchasing any keyboard, carefully weigh your must have connectivity, mobility, compatibility and productivity wishes against each solution‘s practical compromises.

Personally, wired USB keyboards covered 80% of my needs with lag-free typing for coding and writing alike. I utilize a projection keyboard otherwise when mobile use proves essential. However, rechargeable Bluetooth models never quite delivered reliably across years of trying various highly rated options.
